what is the hour rule? Sorry, I was gone from oppo for a while. I’m assuming that if a post hasn’t been made in an hour, you’re free to post anything.

Just 20.000km. It got a new engine at about 17k km because my grandfather didn’t run the engine in correctly.

Nice. Also, I’d say I like my HK’s like I like my BMWs, compact, but that’s a lie, I like BMW saloons.

My grandfather got the Compact because it was the cheapest offering and because he wanted two doors.

An E36 compact, what is it? We only got the 318ti in America.

It was a bare bones 316i, 102hp. The only options were the Montrealblau metallic paint and a cassette stereo. Surprisingly adequate engine for this car.

102 hp? How are you supposed to keep up on the autobahn. It’s actually a pretty cool car, I’d drive it. Think my V8 M3 would give it a run for it’s money.

It could do 120mph all day and still feel confident. The E36 Compact is a great candidate for an engine swap, there even was a one off M3 Compact.

I’ve driven a 700cc Mk1 Smart on French motorways. It was fine.
Also a 1 litre Peugeot 107. That was fine (ish).
